DAMAGE CONTROL BEGINS
The wait is over. "Grey's Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington will go on air to address the accusations that he made homophobic remarks directed at T.R. Knight. And what better place to do so than Ellen Degeneres' talk show. Ellen, who today welcomed Katherine Heigl - yet another "Grey's Anatomy" star - confirmed his appearance on tomorrow's show and said in her trademark tone she was hoping he would not call her any names.
UPDATE (Wed, October 25):
Isaiah Washington cancelled his appearance on the Ellen Degeneres show due to "a change in his production schedule".
Katherine Heigl (Izzy) who did appear on Ellen on Tuesday played down the incident calling it a scuffle and saying she did not even know what it was about, as five minutes after the incident both stars involved were laughing.
Although we have yet to hear from any of the people involved in the backstage drama (Isaiah Washington, Patrick Depsey or T.R. Knight), a spokesperson for the network said on Tuesday ABC has no intention of replacing Washington.
