"Grey's Anatomy" Stars @ Butterfly Ball

Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart ("Ugly Betty"), co-stars T.R. Knight (with boyfriend Mark Cornelsen), Katherine Heigl (with husband Josh Kelley), "Private Practice" star Kate Walsh, "Sex and the City" stud Jason Lewis and "Brothers & Sisters" hunk Eric Winter (with girlfriend Rosalyn Sanchez) were some of the celebrities who took part in Saturday's Butterfly Ball in L.A.

The ball is organized every year by Chrysalis, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization, which helps the homeless and others find work. The event reportedly raised over $1 million on Saturday.

Newlyweds Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller who met at the Butterfly Ball in 2006 also made an appearance having tied the knot in a small ceremony on Friday.

Out actor T.R. Knight walked the red carpet hand in hand with his young boyfriend Mark Cornelsen. Apparently some losers take the issue with the cute couple's age gap, for which reason I applaud T.R. for showing off his love with pride.

Katherine Heigl's "27 Dresses" Photo Shoot

Katherine Heigl, whom Barbara Walters has included in her "Most Fascinating People of 2007" prime time special airing after an all-new "Grey's Anatomy" tomorrow night on ABC, appears in a promotional photo shoot for her upcoming movie "27 Dresses" which opens January 11. Check out the dresses (not necessarily all 27 of them) and a trailer, after the jump.



The 20th Century Fox romantic comedy stars Heigl as a young woman who has made a career out of being a bridesmaid but never a bride.

James Marsden plays the man who she meets at her sister's wedding. He will change her bridesmaid status for good.

Heigl filmed the comedy earlier this year during the hiatus between the 3rd and the 4th season of "Grey's Anatomy."

TV Ratings: "Grey's Anatomy" (Season 4)

ABC's blockbuster medical soap "Grey's Anatomy" lost some ratings muscle in its fourth season. Take a look at how MerDer and the other love-stricken and sex-crazed docs at Seattle Grace did in the Nielsens, after the jump.

The Shonda Rhimes-penned series which launched on Sunday nights in the spring of 2005 (leading out of "Desperate Housewives") gradually became a hit, reaching its series high in February 2006 with the first part of the amazing Super Bowl "bomb episode."

That success led to the show's move to Thursday nights in the fall of 2006 where it successfully battled CBS' well-established procedural "CSI" with an average of 19.22 million viewers tuning in (the infamous Mer after-life episode was seen by over 27 million people in February 2007).

But a somewhat gloomy tone of the third season, the writers' focus on the new spin-off "Private Practice" and behind-the-scenes drama with Isaiah Washington's homophobic incident, may have put a dent in the show's ratings.

This year's writers' strike and the show's 3-month long winter absence didn't help. "Grey's Anatomy" lost an average of 3 million viewers this year, falling down to 15.92 million (for the season September 24, 2007 - May 25, 2008, including repeat broadcasts).

VIDEO: Lesbian & Straight Kisses on "Grey's Anatomy" Finale

Two weeks after the gay soldiers locked lips on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," last night's 4th season finale climaxed with passionate, romantic and painful kisses, as leading characters sought someone to share an intimate moment with. And it all began with a lesbian kiss between Callie and Erica.

Actress Brooke Smith who plays Dr. Erica Hahn told USA Today: "Sara Ramirez is a great kisser ... and a very attractive woman. Who wouldn't want to kiss her?"

The writers explained they wanted to see what would happen if a woman who loved men suddenly had feelings for another woman.

They have promised the fans will be very surprised when they find out where this story is heading next season.

Was Mer jealous or what? From Luke and Noah's shenanigans on CBS daytime to upcoming Kevin and Scotty's wedding on ABC's "Brothers & Sisters," gay love is all around the tube. Last night, one of TV's hottest dramas "Grey's Anatomy" featured a sweet kiss between two soldiers played by Benny Ciaramello ("Friday Night Lights") and David Giuntoli ("MTV's Road Rules"). Kate Walsh on "Grey's Anatomy" (May 1)

You may have heard Kate Walsh, whose new medical series "Private Practice" won't be coming back before September, is making a guest appearance on the parent series "Grey's Anatomy" May 1. ABC has now released images of Dr. Addison Montgomery back at Seattle Grace, for one episode only.

The reason Addison returns to Seattle Grace is to perform a groundbreaking surgery. In the process, she meets all of her former co-workers, husbands and lovers, and is taken aback by all of the changes in their lives. Not that she didn't have a turbulent fall in her Santa Monica co-op herself.



The episode titled "Piece of My Heart" (2nd of 6 post-strike episodes) airs May 1. "Grey's Anatomy" returns next Thursday, April 24. The 2-hour season finale airs May 22.
