Clever casting choices and fashion world cameos continue in the sophomore season of ABC's fab comedy "Ugly Betty" as Vanessa Williams' Botox-injecting alter ego gets a familiar bodyguard and a fashion icon makes a cameo. Plus fresh spoilers from Kristin.

Things heat up at Mode Magazine when Vanessa Williams' (Wilhelmina Slater) real-life ex-husband Rick Fox joins the show this fall as Wilhelmina's bodyguard.

NBA basketball player Rick Fox was Vanessa's second husband. They married in 1999 and had one daughter (Vanessa had already had 3 children from her previous marriage).

In 2004 tabloids caught Fox cheating on Vanessa and within a year the two had been divorced.

The couple who had been intimate even after the cheating incident appear to have remained on good terms.

Meanwhile, famous American shoe designer and fashion icon Kenneth Cole will make a cameo appearance on an upcoming episode of "Ugly Betty."

Cole will play himself, as he's honored at a lavish "Black & White" Ball being hosted by the dysfunctional Meade family.

The episode goes into production this week and it is set to air at some point in October.

Finally, Kristin of E! reveals that there will be a not-to-be-missed great Betty-Henry scene in the first 5 minutes of the first new episode of "Ugly Betty" and Charlie will be involved.

"We discovered that Christina has a husband she walked out on. She went out one day, went out to the shops and just didn't come back. I think he wasn't a very nice guy, so she's come over to America and here she is at Mode. And I think he may make a little appearance."
