"Ugly Betty" Season 2 Spoilers
TV Guide and Metromix have revealed some of the upcoming storylines on ABC's breakout hit "Ugly Betty" which kicks off its second season on September 27. Did Santos die? Did Alexis and Daniel survive the crash? Will Henry and Betty reunite?
Although no one wants to reveal whether Kevin Alejandro's character Santos lives or dies after being shot in a convenience store hold-up in the May season finale, we do now the actor returns to "Betty" this fall.
Christopher Gorham's Henry will also return in the second episode despite being en route to life with girlfriend Charlie and their alleged unborn child. Will Henry discover Charlie's scheme to take him away from Betty?
If so, he and Betty are still not getting back together. Betty is getting a new love interest in the form of Gio, the Mode sandwich cart guy played by Freddie Rodriguez (Six Feet Under).
Henry will however get a BFF named Kenny and according to casting descriptions, the character will be Henry's office mate who speaks faux gangsta and tries to be cooler than he actually is.
Speaking of Henry's return to Mode, the lovable nerd returns when he realizes he needs health insurance and boy, does our favorite fashion magazine have a great medical plan or what.
Meanwhile, Becki Newton's Amanda who realized she is the deceased Mode founder Fey Sommers' illegitimate daughter tries to find out more about her past and inherits her real mother's four-legged companion with a whole lot of medical problems.
As already reported, Wilhelmina's assistant and Amanda's sidekick Marc (Michael Urie) will be in love this season, but Mr. Fabulous is also getting a stalker, a gay, overweight, average-looking shutterbug.
Finally, Marc will have his hands full with Mode's new crop of interns, including Betty's adorable nephew Justin.
In fact, the producers loved the dynamics between Justin and Wilhelmina so much, the two are getting multiple interplays this season, including one in the season premiere when Mrs. Slater mistakes the little fashion enthusiast for someone else.
Hmm... We're not talking about Sanjaya, are we?
