VIDEO: Levi's Ad Goes Straight & Gay
What began as a budgeting concern, ended up as a groundbreaking marketing move on the part of Levi's Jeans Co., which unveiled its new Change campaign for the classic 501 line using the same ad produced in two different versions - one for straight audiences, the other for the gay demographic. Check out both versions of the ad, after the jump.
As Advertising Age reports, the gay version premiered exclusively on MTV's sister cable network Logo, whose programming is aimed at the gay community. This is believed to be the first time live actors were used to create one campaign aimed at both straight and gay audiences, essentially sending a message of equality.
1 Comments:
Levi's had a very good idea in appealing to both gay and staight people. This shows they are neutral, and most likely will give them a lead to any other brands. Do you think there is a big significance in them not holding hands at the end?
