"Ugly Betty" Spoilers: Wilhelmina Gets a Bodyguard
A new love interest for Betty, a bodyguard for Wilhelmina and the departure of Santos - it will be a busy fall on ABC's adorable comedy "Ugly Betty."
As reported last week, Betty (America Ferrera) may be getting a new love interest at Mode Magazine - a new as-yet-to-be-cast character, an ambitious blue-collar snack cart operator.
Meanwhile, TV Guide has reported that Vanessa Williams' hilarious villain Wilhelmina, who has managed to make an enemy, or two, or three, will not be making a move without her new bodyguard.
Finally, E!Online believes Santos' days are numbered, as the actor who plays him has just been cast in CBS' James Woods-fronted procedural "Shark." Kevin Alejandro ("Drive") will appear in the season premiere: "How Betty Got Her Grieve Back."
The same source disputes earlier reports from the ever-reliable British tabloids (cough, cough...) that Victoria Posh Beckham would be making a guest appearance on the show. Earlier this year America Ferrera herself said Taye Diggs and Naomi Campbell would appear on the show, but we have yet to see those appearances.
The anticipated return date for "Ugly Betty" is Thursday, September 27.
