Televisionista: Katherine Heigl Launches Production Co.

Having finally cashed in at the box office "Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl formed a production company in Hollywood with her mother and manager Nancy Heigl.

The new co. is already developing its first project - an untitled FOX action comedy with Heigl in the starring role.

Heigl is keeping the plot of the untitled movie a secret and is searching for writers to pen the theatrical.

Earlier this year, Heigl finally scored at the box office with her Judd Apatow project "Knocked Up" opposite Seth Rogen.

The movie from creators of "40 year Old Virgin" has already exceeded its predecessor and scored $160 million across the world (it has yet to open in many territories overseas) despite being produced for only $30 million.

Heigl previously starred in forgettable and unsuccessful movies such as "Bride of Chucky," "Valentine" and "The Ringer."
