Dean Cain Guest Stars on "Smallville"

The rumors are true! The actor who once portrayed Superman on ABC's "Lois & Clark" (along with "Desperate Housewife" Teri Hatcher) is flying over to "Smallville" to make an appearance on The CW's young Superman drama in October.


Dean Cain has booked a guest appearance in the 4th episode of the 7th season of the Tom Welling-fronted drama.

According to The CW, Cain will now be playing on the evil team as he portrays Dr. Curtis Knox, a villainous killer.


The episode which is about to go into production in August will air at some point in October.

This is of course the second time a former Superman has appeared on "Smallville." Late Christopher Reeve who played the red-caped superhero in the original 1970s and 1980s movie franchise appeared in the show's 2nd and 3rd season as Dr. Virgil Swan.

The producers of "Smallville" sure know how to keep those hunks coming.
