"LOST" CRUSHES COMPETITION
ABC was the winner last night courtesy of its killer line-up of "Dancing with the Stars" (farewell Vivica A. Fox), blockbuster "Lost" and the new critically-acclaimed drama "The Nine", but CBS 10pm procedural CSI: Miami managed to beat the rookie drama easily.
"Lost" got off to a strong start at 9pm with 18,5 million viewers, which is somewhat less than the premiere last year, but still well over the second season average and should land the show into the top-10 in the weekly Nielsens.
"The Nine" was a bit of a disappointment, though. It averaged a little over 11 million viewers, losing almost 40% of "Lost" audience. Even the now-axed "Invasion" got off to a better start last year.
