DIM "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS"
Why do sports dramas get cancelled? Is it because men who love to watch sports do not like dramas? Or because women who love dramas do not like when they are set in the world of sports? Whatever the reason, the truly amazing NBC drama "Friday Night Lights" got off to a very poor start last night as little over 7 mil viewers tuned in. The network will repeat the pilot this evening to try to get a little more sampling.
The highest rated program of the evening was once again ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" (18,28mil viewers). Ted Danson' new comedy "Help Me Help You" is the highest rated new sitcom this season (over 10 mil viewers), which is actually nothing to brag about as it loses half the "Dancing" audience (20,09 mil in the final half hour). CBS's new drama "Smith" also continues to lose steam and a million viewers with it.
