Howie Mandel could not stop yet another winning edition of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" that made the Alphabet network the winner of the second night of the new TV season. It was the highest rated program of the evening with 18,07 mil viewers.

"Deal Or No Deal" dropped quite a bit on its second night, posting 7.1/11 with 10,69 mil viewers. Still, NBC managed to improve its performance every hour with two editions of the Law & Order franchise (11,58 and 14,37 mil viewers respectively).

The CBS line-up achieved solid, yet hardly spectacular results. The series premiere of "Smith" was seen by over 10 mil viewers.

Finally, despite a strong lead-in in "House", "Standoff" continued to drop in the ratings. The drama sank to series-low 7,91 mil viewers.
