The new television season is officially under way. The Big Four are airing a night of all-new programming this evening including two series premieres: "The Class" on CBS and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" on NBC.
Some new shows have already premiered. As anxious network executives anticipate the next day's Nielsen reports, the question on everyone mind is: Who will be the first to swing the cancellation axe? And how do the shows that have already premiered look so far?
VANISHED (FOX, Mondays at 9/8c) The fast-paced drama about the disappearance of a senator's wife opened on August 21 with solid results (8,65 mil viewers), then slid moderately to 8, 53 mil.
In the third week FOX ordered three more scripts giving the show an early bode of confidence. The series however lost a million viewers (7,56 mil) and did not benefit last week from being delayed due to Presidential Address (series-low, 4.3/6).
Tonight, FOX airs the fifth installment of the series (following an all-new Prison Break) at 9/8c.
