IN A "CLASS" OF ITS OWN

Friends star Matthew Perry returns to NBC tonight in Aaron Sorkin's new drama "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip".

This same evening, one of the "Friends" creators David Crane returns to TV sitcom on CBS as he, the producer of "Mad About You" Jeffrey Klarik and an ensemble of talented actors bring you "The Class", a fresh take on the situational comedy genre with as many as eight main stars and a number of supporting characters.

Classmates reunited by Ethan (Jason Ritter) get together at a party to celebrate the day he met his fiancee. Although the outcome is far from what Ethan expected, the eclectic group reconnects after two decades, mending old wounds, creating new relationships.

The critics are split. Some have praised "The Class", some have dismissed it. What will be the viewers' final say? CBS airs the pilot episode of "The Class" tonight at 8/7c. Lizzy Caplan and Sean Maguire also star.
