Ratings for Wednesday, September 20, 2006
Wednesday night belonged to CBS whose new drama "Jericho" launched at 8pm with promising numbers (11,4 mil viewers) followed by "Criminal Minds" and "CSI:NY". Both dramas were seen by over 15 mil viewers.
"Dancing with the Stars" opened the night for ABC on a winning note (14,89 mil viewers) followed by excellent numbers for a "Grey's Anatomy" rerun (12,76 mil viewers).
NBC was the third with a disappointing performance for its reality contest "The Biggest Loser" (7,17 mil viewers) followed by poor sampling for its new drama "Kidnapped" (7,53 mil), which is very similar to what FOX's "Vanished" (also an abduction mystery) posted two nights earlier.
FOX's combo of "Bones" and "Justice" did not perform very well (6,58 and 5,66 mil respectively), but the new network The CW had plenty to smile about on its first official night of programming - "America's Next Top Model" went up over last year's UPN premiere by 10%.
