DESPERATE CASTING
Oscar-nominated actress Kathleen York has landed a recurring role on "Desperate Housewives" this fall as a beautiful redheaded mystery woman, Monique. York, whose previous credits include guest starring roles on The West Wing and The O.C. was nominated for an Oscar for co-writing the song "In the Deep" from the Oscar-winning movie "Crash".
Matt Roth has also landed a recurring role on the Touchstone TV show as a new neighbor on Wisteria Lane who buys the house where Paul and Mary-Alice Young used to live. He befriends Lynette Scavo after becoming a hero in a tense situation. Roth's previous credits include "Grey's Anatomy", "Frasier" and "Melrose Place". His wife Laurie Metcalf has also been cast for a recurring role, but the two will not be sharing screen time together.
The hit dramedy returns this Sunday at 9/8c on ABC.
