"American Idol" Pornography Scandal
The producers of "American Idol," FOX and season 4 contestant Mario Vazquez have been slammed with a sexual harassment lawsuit; the ratings for the talent competition are down and the judges now openly admit this year's cast is the weakest ever. Can it get any worse? Oh, yes it can.
Sex scandals are nothing new when it comes FOX's megapopular reality show "American Idol." In addition to all the shenanigans of the past years, just several weeks ago season 4 contestant Mario Vazquez was accused by a former male "Idol" crew member of masturbating in front on him and trying to coax him into having oral sex.
Also, who could forget this year's second most infamous contestant Antonella Barba and her collection of racy pictures inflating pageload counts all over the Internet?
There has never however been a hardcore porn DVD featuring one of the show's contestants engaged in an actual on-screen sexual encounter. Never that is until now.
Olivia Mojica, a contestant who never made it to the finals on the show's second season appears in a new 40-minute DVD entitled "Hardcore Idol."
The DVD marketed under the tagline "What the Judges Didn't See" is out May 3 and will be distributed by the adult giant Vivid Entertainment. The trailer is already available on the company website.
According to the distributor, the video was sold to Vivid by a third party, not Mojica herself and he has agreed to indemnify Vivid in case of a lawsuit by Mojica or FOX.
The video depicts Mojica having sex with her boyfriend in her New York City apartment and the company says: "The sex is so great that if she were in the adult business, she’d be an instant superstar."
Vivid is moving quickly with the release to use the momentum that "American Idol" generates as it narrows down its field of contestants.
This is obviously shaping up to be the most disastrous season of the reality contest. Can the "American Idol" brand remain intact or will it get completely sanjayad?
