"Brothers and Sisters" Spoilers #113: "Something Ida This Way Comes"

ABC has released the promotional images from tonight's episode of "Brothers and Sisters" a little late, but they are now here and it seems we're in for another great episode of the family drama that introduces the character Ida (Happy Days vet Marion Ross) in the episode called "Something Ida this Way Comes".

Nora (Sally Field) is celebrating her 60th birthday and her children are throwing her a surprise birthday party. Tempers flare when her and Saul's mother Ida makes an unwelcome visit to celebrate the milestone in her daughter's life.

The preview for the episode (which you can see at the end of last episode's recap) reveals the party is all about sex, lies and a certain videotape.

Brothers and Sisters writers have gone a little further - they revealed on their blog there will be a Nora Walker tribute video, and it will make things go terribly awry.

I say that might have something to do with Sarah and Joe videotaping an earlier sex session.

Kevin continues his love affair with closeted soap star Chad (special guest star Jason Lewis) who finds out about Kevin telling his sister about them and freaks out afraid of "career suicide".

Justin's fans will be happy to hear that the troubled sibling returns from his rehab by the sea to attend mom's party, and Rob Lowe's senator, who is invited to the family get-together, ends up with Kitty (Calista Flockhart) in the closet!

The episode airs tonight at 10/9c after an all-new "Desperate Housewives", and then both shows will take a break from airing new episodes till February 11.

Next Sunday we will see a rerun of the episode "Northern Exposure" (#107).

The week after, both "Brothers and Sisters" and "Desperate Housewives" will be pre-empted. ABC will air a Sunday Night Movie instead, because of the Super Bowl telecast on CBS.

Tonight's episode will be repeated on January 26 and February 9 at 9pm ET/PT.

This episode was very well done.

Marion Ross was better than I had anticipated and she is someone I just adore on the show. I hope they bring her back. I think I'll demand it. :)

Jason Lewis is still nervous and tense before each kissing part. 2 short peck on the lips and he still tensed up. Ugh, it was unbearable to watch. Although on the flip side, Matthew Rhys looked hot shirtless in bed. :) Nice hairy chest and all. :)

Great episode overall. Love Rob and Calista's chemistry together. They always spark together. It's amazing how much they just seem to emote that passion without making out. It's like in the eyes or something.

Great to see Dave Annable back as Justin. Great to see Tyler back as well. Amazed another episode sans Holly. So much to say, but I can't gather my thoughts. Ugh...
