"Brothers and Sisters" Spoilers: Chad Stays Longer, Scotty Returns
"Sex and the City" star Jason Lewis begins his guest starring stint on ABC's "Brothers and Sisters" this Sunday and it has just been reported his storyline has now been extended from 4 to 7 episodes. Also, Canadian-born actor Luke MacFarlane is coming back for a special February sweeps episode "Valentine's Day Massacre".
Former "Absolut Hunk" Lewis is, as previously reported, joining the show this week as a closeted soap opera actor Chad and a romantic interest for the show's openly gay character Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys).
In addition to being closeted Chad also has a girlfriend (Roxy Olin, producer Ken Olin's and star Patricia Wettig's daughter).
The writers are apparently satisfied with the execution of the storyline and have now extended Jason Lewis' role. That means he will remain on the show through early April.
In the meantime, Luke MacFarlane who played Kevin's boyfriend Scotty Wandell in 7 early episodes is coming back for Valentine's Day. According to spoilers, Kevin runs into Scotty somewhere in L.A. and they go to a bar together and get drunk.
Perhaps Kevin will be very frustrated in his new relationship with the closeted actor and happy to see Scotty again.
Thanks to our reader and regular contributor Kong Chang for that scoop. If you like actor Luke MacFarlane who plays Scotty you may want to check KC's fansite LukeMacFarlaneFans, with its vast collection of Luke's images and the most up-to-date information on the actor.
Finally, TV Guide has reported actress and singer Hilary Duff will not be joining the show as the producers have not been able to make a deal with her.

Hmm, weird, this part never showed up for me today. :( So ignore my email to you. LoL.
Thank you for putting this info up. Now the producers can't hide this info any longer. LoL. I wrote a comment on their blogs and they deleted it and refused to post it up. Oh well...
Aren't you happy they're doing some fun things with Kevin?
Oh, and for sure, the 3rd love interest will be Senator McAllister's gay brother, but he won't show up until April at the earliest.
Oops, forgot to add, they are currently shooting/producing episode 14. This past Tuesday (yesterday) was their official table read for episode 14 (production #116). Yay! :)
Ugh, this needs an edit button...thank you for the kind shout out to my fansite, Justin! :)
*big hugs*

The least I could do for you, KC. :)
Did they really? Oh, well... One can't really keep things secret anymore, can they? As I'm sure Lance Bass would confirm... LOL...
I'm curious who will play McAllister's brother. They haven't cast him yet, have they?
Yes, I'm happy and grateful to both ABC and the writers for what they're doing with Kevin. Well, it is 2007 after all...
I'm always fascinated how close to the actual airdate they shoot these episodes.
No edit for now, sorry about that. But, if I do switch to a different software in the future, I'm sure I'll keep that in mind. :)
It's so funny that I told you and AfterElton.Com both on Monday night the news via email, and both of you guys didn't post the news until Wednesday. LoL. Too funny.
Well, remember that they were behind schedule because of redoing the script and redoing the pilot episode. That placed them behind by 2-3 weeks in production schedule. B&S will end its production later than most other dramas will...plus the fact that they got a 2 episode extension, they won't finish until April at the very earliest. This won't give any of the cast members enough time to do any side movie projects before they come back in August to start shooting for the show again for season 2 (crossing my fingers).
They haven't casted McAllister's brother yet, but people think alike...it's quite funny. My friend and I were saying wouldn't it be funny if McAllister's brother ended up being Scotty. And then I find out some other people have the same thoughts as we do. LoL. Too hilarious. Oh well, hopefully we'll find out soon enough when it's near March.
