"Polar Express" Helps ABC Win Friday
Who ever said theatricals were dead on broadcast networks? "The Polar Express" begs to differ. The movie made ABC the #1 network in the US on Friday scoring over 13 million viewers.
Over on NBC, back-to-back episodes of "Las Vegas" did some very respectable business for the Peacock network as the drama grew from a little over 9 million all the way to 11,32 million pairs of eyeballs.
CBS pre-empted its dramas "Ghost Whisperer" and "Close to Home" with a disappointing special Ice Wars 2006: USA Vs. The World (6,17 mil). The network however won Saturday night with its combination of football, Shark and 48 hours (almost 8 mil).
Sunday night, football overrun on FOX scored the highest figures (over 22 mil), while "Cold Case" and "Without a Trace" both delivered over 14 million viewers for CBS. The network won the night in total viewers, while FOX scored in the 18-49 demo.
