"The O.C." Finally Rises
"The O.C." has finally risen in the Nielsens bringing 4,67 million viewers to FOX last night, almost a million more than the previous week. Can the additional exposure keep the teen soap alive?
Die-hard fans of the Orange County drama have speculated for a long time how FOX may have almost killed the series that did very respectable business for the network back in 2004 by putting it into the ultra-competitive Thursday at 9 slot.
This year the slot got even more competitive when ABC's red-hot medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" found a new home on Thursday nights clearly taking some of the O.C. audience away.
This was obvious last night when almost 1 million of those people came back thanks to a Grey's Anatomy rerun. The numbers may perk up even more as CSI goes into repeats as well.
The show airs their annual Chrismukk-huh? special next week.

Omigod! Im sooo happy! OK, it was because of the Grey's rerun, but still...
It was a really great episode last night and I hope more people could see what a kick-ass show The O.C. has become again.
that's great, but I'm afraid too little, too late... the show seems doomed...
Who said THE OC was going to end? Here comes season 5! I can see it already!
