"Prison Break" Actor "Does Not Remember" Crash
"Prison Break" actor Lane Garrison has hired a well-known lawyer Harland Braun and says he "does not remember" the fatal crash nor if he was driving the car that killed a teenage boy on Saturday. The police says felony charges could be filed against him within 8 weeks.
The Beverly Hills Police Department have said in the official statement that Garrison displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication.
The 26-year old actor suffered minor injuries in the crash, but the 17-year old Vahagn Setian was killed and two 15-year old female high-school students were injured, one remaining in a critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Garrison's attorney Harland Braun has said his client was at the grocery story when the teens recognized him and asked him if he wanted to attend a party.
The actor went to the party and had one drink and also had one margarita at a Mexican restaurant earlier in the evening. As he was leaving the party, the three teens asked for a ride.
The lawyer claims Garrison has no recollection of the accident, which left him unconscious.
A sample of the actor's blood was taken at the hospital, but it could take several weeks before the test results are in.
Braun downplayed the role alcohol saying Garrison had recent car troubles and that he would be submitting repair receipts to the police.
The police have said they might need up to 8 weeks to file charges against Garrison, if any.
Singer Jessica Simpson, whose father had once given Garrison shelter, has issued a statement saying her family's thoughts and prayers were with Lane Garrison.
