Kevin Gets A New Lover On "Brothers & Sisters"

Last Sunday you may have seen the very last of Luke MacFarlane on ABC's "Brothers and Sisters". The Canadian actor recently hit headlines after paparazzi images of him spending an afternoon with recently outed "Grey's Anatomy" gay star T.R. Knight appeared in the media.
On "Brothers and Sisters" Luke played Scotty Wandell, a gay character criticized by some fans of the show for his over-the-top behavior in early episodes. MacFarlane, who toned his performance down since then, went on to become a part of a compelling romantic storyline tied to Kevin, one of the show's main characters (Matthew Rhys, pictured above).
Now the word is coming in that MacFarlane's storyline may have run its course, as Scotty-free Kevin is about to meet a man tied to his sister Kitty (Calista Flockhart). The writers, headed by showrunner Greg Berlanti (a gay man himself) have promised that Kevin would have a fully explored personal life like the rest of the Walkers. TV Guide reports his future partner will not be the one-night-stand from an upcoming episode.

The character of Scotty may have run its course, but there are now "Save Scotty" campaigns going on currently and fans of Luke MacFarlane (including myself) are writing desperately to the execs to reconsider not dropping the Scotty character and to utilize Scotty, if not a love interest for Kevin, for something else entirely.
We are desperately trying to save Luke from going unemployed again.
I absolutely agree, KC.
Although I initially cringed after the 'nice shoes' scene in episode two, I quickly learned to adore Scotty and was very disappointed with the latest development.
If you know any email address that fans of Luke MacFarlane can write to to support him, do let us know.
I don't have an email address but a direct snail mail address to the production office of "Brothers & Sisters".
You may write directly to Greg Berlanti, Ken Olin & Jon Robin Baitz to :

Oops, can't edit my comment, I also have a fansite for Luke MacFarlane within the Yahoo Groups at Luke MacFarlane Yahoo Group Fansite.
Luke does not have an official fanmail email address. However, I have posted a fanmail snail address they can write to via my fansite.
Thanks a lot, KC. I sure hope we get to see Scotty back on 'Brothers and Sisters' really soon.
You're welcome, Justin.
I and hopefully the fans in my group will constantly be pushing the execs to reconsider Scotty / Luke MacFarlane and bring him back within this season; even though, we know that Kevin has a new love interest in 2007.
With that open-ended scene of "bye", there's nothing really final about it and we want closure or something from it at least (well, we really want Luke to be a series regular, but that's probably too much to ask for).
Why does anyone like that character so much? I found him to be kind of whiney and annoying, and that's about it. I look forward to seeing a new love interest added to Kevin's storyline.
