Rob Lowe To Romance Calista Flockhart
'The West Wing' star is returning to series television and he will do so in style playing a Republican senator who runs for re-election and appears on a political chat show on ABC's powerful family drama "Brothers and Sisters".
The actor who has not had much success with TV following his departure from Aaron Sorkin's The West Wing (his shows "The Lyon's Den" and "Dr. Vegas" both flopped) will appear in at least 6 episodes of the Greg Berlanti penned series.
His character will romance Calista Flockhart's character Kitty Walker, also a Republican on the show, currently involved with her liberal on-air opponent. If Lowe is embraced by the viewers, the network may extend his stay on the series.
