Eva Denies Lesbian Flick Rumours

Eva Longoria has denied starring in a lesbian period movie "Tipping the Velvet" based on a raunchy Sarah Waters book playing Beyonce's lover. The original report which came from the British tabloid The Daily Star yesterday quoted the star as saying it was time for a lesbian "Brokeback Mountain". Eva says the story was not true and she was shocked to see media were quoting her confirming the production.

The film "Tipping the Velvet" which was said to be in pre-production with Sofia Coppola at the helm, has actually already been filmed in Britain. It is a 2002 Geoffrey Sax adaptation of the aforementioned book that received strong critical acclaim.

The rumours may have been sparked after Eva Longoria's and Beyonce's appearance at the L'Oreal Legends Gala to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund in New York on last Wednesday.
