NBC TO BURN OFF "KIDNAPPED" ON SATURDAYS

NBC has just announced it will move the rookie drama "Kidnapped" to low-rated Saturday nights effective October 21 (a repeat of this week's episode airs this weekend, sports programming airs next weekend).

Earlier this week NBC informed the show's producers that it is pulling the plug. The network will however honour its 13-episode commitment and air the remaining 10 episodes through the end of the year.

The producers of the Dana Delany series have promised to wrap the abduction mystery up. The show joins CBS' Ray Liotta action series "Smith" as first casualties of the new TV season. More are expected to be announced soon.
