UK Ratings (Dirty Sexy Money, Gossip Girl)
How are the latest US imports doing in the UK? Here are the ratings for US shows "Dirty Sexy Money" and "Gossip Girl" which have recently begun airing on Britain's Channel 4 and ITV2, respectively. Plus, a record-breaking launch for a superior version of "The Apprentice" on BBC1.
"Dirty Sexy Money" which airs on Friday nights at 9:00pm on Channel 4 premiered to 2.7 million viewers last Friday (March 21), while a further 255,000 tuned in on the digital-only Channel 4+1 an hour later.
Although this is a solid start for the luxe soap, the channel's other Friday night import "Ugly Betty" (currently on hiatus) pulled in 4.5 million viewers when it premiered in January 2007.
Last night "Gossip Girl" premiered on satellite-based channel ITV2 to only 293,000 viewers despite having a lead-in that pulled in almost a million viewers. The show airs at 10:00pm.
Finally, Sir Alan Sugar's BBC reality series "The Apprentice" (which remains faithful to the franchise's original format) premiered to 6.4 million viewers on Wednesday night on BBC1, almost 2 million more than last year's series 3 premiere.

E4 is UK main channel for teen drama so having the low ratings on a small broadcast channel is expected to do very poor.
so many more people would watch gossip girl if it was on E4 or C4
