"As the World Turns" Hunks to Kiss
AUGUST 16, 2007: Entertainment Tonight reports that the season-long gay storyline on CBS' "As the World Turns" which has got hot and steamy in recent days will make daytime TV history, as hunks Van Hansis and Jake Silbermann kiss this Friday.
It all began last year when gay teen Luke Snyder (Hansis) struggled to come out to his family and friends. He is the first gay character on "As the World Turns" coming from the central family with a story arc of his own.
Recently, actor Jake Silbermann was introduced as Noah Mayer, an intern at the TV station where Luke and his friend Maddie are working. Although it appears Noah is straight as he begins dating Maddie, he soon becomes attracted to Luke.
Following last week's steamy shirtless scene, the two teen boys finally kiss this Friday.

Finally! I have waited all summer fo this! What a great thing for gay teens to finally be represented in daytime television in such a thoughtful storyline. Thank you ATWT (and thanks to Justin van de Kamp for letting everyone know about this!)
Definitely must-see TV for daytime soap!! First daytime same sex kiss (well between two guys, I mean)!
