"Prison Break" Star Goes to Prison
AUGUST 2, 2007: Actor Lane Garrison who played Tweener on FOX's "Prison Break" will be going to prison for 90 days to undergo a "diagnostic" by parole officers and psychologists before returning for an Oct. 31 appearance before the judge to learn his ultimate sentence.
Garrison killed a teenage boy and injured 2 girls after he lost control of his car and crashed into a tree on December 2, 2006. Subsequent investigation revealed Garrison had alcohol and cocaine in his system. The teenagers recognized Garrison from "Prison Break" at a supermarket and invited him to their party.
Garrison recently appeared in a public service announcement that encourages viewers not to drink and drive. The chilling PSA re-enacts his crash and he appears to be holding back tears as he talks about what a stupid and life-changing mistake he made. Hopefully, the PSA will scare some kids into being careful on the road.
