Smallville Returns with "Bizarro"
The 7th season premiere of The CW's veteran series "Smallville" will not only introduce the iconic character Supergirl, but also feature the return of Martian Manhunter (played by Phil Morris). Will "Passions" hottie Justin Hartley also reprise his role as Oliver Queen, a.k.a. The Green Arrow?
Hartley's comedy pilot "Spellbound" which had been produced for The CW network was not picked up, but the actor did join the new Mario Lopez sitcom (also a CW production) which made it onto the air.
Nevertheless, the actor's official website announced he is expected to return to "Smallville" this year on a recurring basis. Erica Durance whose character Lois Lane was in love with The Green Arrow will host The CW's Fall Preview Special which airs in late August or early September.
Meanwhile, casting is under way to find a suitable actress to portray Clark's 19-year old Kryptonian cousin Kara (Supergirl) and an announcement about that is expected very, very soon.
Jimmy Olsen (new series regular Aaron Ashmore), who continues his work at The Daily Planet, will be romantically linked to the woman of steel. The producers are also looking for an extremely attractive male actor to play Greg, the new magazine editor who will be introduced in episode #2.
No word yet on the fate of Chloe and Lana, but rumor has it both actresses will be back. Annette O'Toole who plays Clark's mother Martha Kent is leaving the show, but may appear in 1 or 2 episodes.
The airdate for the 7th season premiere of "Smallville" entitled "Bizarro" has yet to be announced.
