"The Nine" Returns to ABC August 1
There is a good news and a bad news about the return of ABC's bank robbery flashback drama "The Nine".
The good news is that, beginning August 1, ABC has decided to air the remaining 6 unaired episodes of the drama which was pulled last fall after generating very disappointing ratings in the post-LOST slot on Wednesday nights.
Those fans who are expecting to learn what really happened and see a definitive conclusion to all storylines will be disappointed to hear that the drama's central plot is not resolved by the final, 13th episode.
Tim Daly (ABC's "Private Practice"), Lourdes Benedicto (ABC's "Cashmere Mafia"), Kim Raver (NBC's "Lipstick Jungle") and Chi McBride (ABC's "Pushing Daisies") are 4 of the 10-member ensemble cast who already have new jobs this coming TV season.
NBC has recently begun burning off the 8 unaired episodes of its canceled abduction drama "Kidnapped" which battled "The Nine" earlier this season in the Wednesdays at 10 p.m. slot.
The fans of the Dana Delany and Jeremy Sisto fronted series have already been able to see those final episodes on NBC.com as well as on the DVD release. Nevertheless, the Peacock network began the "Kidnapped" burn-off on June 25, Sundays at 12:00 a.m.
