Filming of "Heroes: Season 2" Has Begun with 8 New Cast Members!
On Monday I erroneously stated that the shooting of the second season of "Heroes" will begin in a couple of weeks. It is now clear the production on NBC's hit drama has already begun and here are the first candid images from the set taken on Tuesday. You can see the new cast member Nick D'Agosto, along with stars Hayden Panettiere and Jack Coleman.
Meanwhile it was reported that "Alias" vet David Anders who played the evil Julian Sark on the ABC drama has joined "Heroes" in the most intriguing of new roles.
He will play ancient samurai warrior Takezo Kensei, Hiro Nakamura's (Masi Oka) childhood hero.
While never seen during "Heroes' " first season, Kensei played a key part in the show's plot.
Hiro spent most of the season trying to get ahold of Kensei's sword, which he hoped would help him in his quest to save the world.
Anders recently guest starred on the much publicized "Private Practice" episode of "Grey's Anatomy."
Japanese pop star and actress Eriko Tamura is also joining the drama as a Japanese princess.
As many as four more actors will join the drama - Barry Shabaka Henley, Holt McCallany, Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron.
Henley will play Detective Fuller, a New York police officer. McCallany will play Ricky, the ringleader of a group of Irish thugs.
Fonseca and Agron will play beautiful cheerleaders in Southern California, where Claire (Hayden Panettiere) is expected to move.
Fonseca's character April is sweet, while Agron's Debbie is a mean girl.
These six actors join the first two previously announced new cast members - Dania Ramirez (hot young female hero) and Nick d'Agosto (Claire's boyfriend).

There is one picture I find extremely odd and a bit disturbing, the one where Jack and Hayden appear to be making out...I'm sure it's not that, and it's the angle, but

They do look like that, don't they? Which got me thinking - what if two actors who plays a parent and a child start dating in real life? Perhaps they have a clause in their contracts banning them from doing that. I wouldn't be surprised... :)
Well, the Brady Bunch mom and son dated............. or was that the Partridge Family?
I'm hella excited for the next season. I hope it is more action-oriented and also I wish they would have kept Claire's sexier boyfriend in the What If episode. But maybe this new dude will grow on me. He reminds me of that Harry Potter actor. :)

1) David Anders!!! Woot! Hot sexy blonde actor playing a samurai! Wooot! :) Now will he be speaking in Japanese? Even sexier! :P
2) I can't wait for season 2. Shooting early is good and this way they can really have more time to do those longer shoot scenes that seem to postpone their time. Plus 30 eps forces them to have a shorter summer break. :)
3) I find the father/daughter thing kinda interesting...lol. :P I always thought there was something more going there. :P
4) Now that Bryan Fuller has his own series, Pushing Daisies, in full swing, will we get a gay character this year or not? Zach's degaying was so blah last season. Kinda disappointed with that.

we're coming over from the UK to california in about 3 weeks and having a few days in LA- does anyone know what are the chances of seeing any of heroes being filmed then? and where would be the best places to go?
