"Betty Crocker" Joins "Prison Break"

Robert Wisdom ("The Wire") and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe ("Nash Bridges") have joined the cast of the Fox drama "Prison Break" as regulars in its third season which begins shooting on Monday, July 2.

The show's central character Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) was locked up in a Panama prison at the end of the second season which aired in April.

Wisdom will play Luchero, a Panamanian drug kingpin who is incarcerated and controls the other inmates in the prison.

O'Keefe will play Betty Crocker, an operative for the Company, a shadowy government conspiracy organization.

According to early spoilers, Betty will be meeting Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) in a high-rise restaurant in an attempt to speak about Michael. She will hand Lincoln an I-Pod.

Now I do wonder if the General Mills Co. that owns the Betty Crocker brand will have anything against that creative choice if the character turns out to be a killer. I guess it's safe to assume the lady won't be baking any pancakes.
