New ABC Schedule
ABC has just announced its new fall 2007 prime-time schedule; "Private Practice" to air on Wednesday nights sandwiched between new shows; "Men In Trees" returns to Fridays and Michael Vartan-fronted "Big Shots" to air after "Grey's Anatomy."
The network has decided to keep "Dancing with the Stars" on Mondays and Tuesdays, "Boston Legal," "Ugly Betty," "Grey's Anatomy" and the entire Sunday night line-up stay put, while Lucy Liu fronted "Cashmere Mafia" which could have gotten the post-Grey's slot will instead end up on Mondays at 8 after "Dancing" ends its fall season.
Also returning after the conclusion of "Dancing" and "Bachelor" are the new episodes of "Notes from the Underbelly" and "October Road," joining the new comedy starring Christina Applegate "Sam I Am."
The new drama "Women's Murder Club" starring Angie Harmon which is described as "CSI" meets "Sex and the City" gets a Friday night slot, while the sex appeal of Michael Vartan may keep some of the Grey's fans glued to the screen on Thursdays at 10.
The toughest night? Wednesdays. Quirky sci-fi drama "Pushing Daisies" will anchor the night, leading into "Private Practice" and one of the best received pilots "Dirty Sexy Money" at 10. Can an all-new show line-up succeed?
LOST will return at an as-yet-to-be-determined new timeslot in early 2007. The choice of timeslot will depend on success/failure of respective new series.
Oprah Winfrey's reality series "The Big Give" will also debut at a later point in the season.

What do you think about the schedule, Justin?
I think they should have moved Ugly Betty to Sunday at 8pm to lead into DH. The other thing is that I think Brothers and Sisters is probably strong enough to stand on its on and anchor another night, perhaps leading into Private Practice.
Not bad I guess.
Yes, Betty on Sundays would have made that night perfect.
All in all, I like the new schedule, especially Wednesday nights. I think Wednesday will be the new Thursday. If PP improves, that is.
I'll post more thoughts in a separate article later today.
I agree, Brothers & Sisters should have it's own night now.. It's a great show, it's building a good solid fan base. Tnx for the info..
I think the mistake was building all this attention to Men in Trees then sticking it on Friday.
I think ABC should just run Wife Swap and Supernanny back to back and move "Trees" to Monday.
I honestly think that its time for ABC to retire the Bachelor. I do not see Men In Trees returning for a 3rd season though. I really don't see many of the new series taking off.
