TV Ratings: "CSI: Miami" Hits Season High
Not only was the sexy CBS procedural the top show of the evening, but it also hit record high ratings for its current season pulling in 19,85 million viewers.
Earlier in the evening, a special 2-hour episode of FOX's thriller "24" delivered strong ratings in the 8pm hour scoring 13,13 million viewers.
Although that was behind NBC's reality hit "Deal Or No Deal" (16 million), the show did better than "Prison Break" which was pre-empted for one night only.
24's battle with NBC's "Heroes" ended with defeat for the former. The Peacock's biggest new hit delivered 14,68 million viewers.
Although CBS won the night, its comedy line-up was down, especially in the 8pm hour (How I Met Your Mother, 9,82 million) due to the power of FOX.
