"Prison Break" At It Again: They Killed Haywire!
Aside from its lead-out "24", FOX's "Prison Break" may be the prime-time drama with the highest body count among its regular characters. Last night, the manhunt drama killed off yet another Fox River escapee.
Mentally-disturbed Charles "Haywire" Patoshik plummeted to his death after agent Mahoney (the fabulous William Fichtner) caught up with the escapee and explained that he would not have to go to prison, but he would not get to Holland either, allowing Haywire to commit suicide.
Three of the eight escapees from last May's first season finale have now met an untimely end including Peter Stormare's John Abruzzi and Lane Garrison's Tweener. Five remain on the run.
Silas Weir Mitchell who played Haywire is known in the industry and among fans for roles of mentally-disturbed or violent characters, including an impressive portfolio of appearances on all three CSI dramas, "My Name Is Earl", "Medium", "JAG", "Six Feet Under", "ER", "Cold Case", "Without a Trace", "Crossing Jordan", "24" and many, many more.
