ABC Reveals Edie's Son On "Desperate Housewives"

ABC has published the very first details about the upcoming episode of "Desperate Housewives" entitled "My Husband, the Pig", narrated from a male perspective by Bree's deceased husband Rex Van De Kamp.

The episode will feature the first appearance of Edie Britt's son Travers who was first mentioned way back in season one, when late Mrs. Huber took care of him off-screen while his mother was "entertaining" her male visitor the night Susan accidentally burned down her house.

Series creator Marc Cherry had planned to introduce the little boy on many occasions during the first two seasons. Now that Marcia Cross who plays Bree is on bed rest and Nicolette Sheridan who plays Edie is becoming the front and center of the show for the rest of the third season, we will finally meet both Travers and his father Charles, Edie's ex-husband.

Travers is played by the 11-year old actor Jake Cherry, who is - contrary to what may seem - not related to series creator Marc Cherry. The actor has worked on television for over three years and his former credits include appearances on "Third Watch", "Head Cases" and "Bones".

The episode "My Husband, the Pig" airs March 4 on ABC.
