"Grey's Anatomy" Reruns To Air on Cable & Syndication

Buena Vista TV, the distributor of ABC's hit TV series "Grey's Anatomy" has announced that repeats of the medical drama will air in weekend broadcast syndication as of 2009. The show has already been cleared in 14 of the top 15 markets.

Buena Vista has already made a deal with women's cable network "Lifetime" last summer. According to the deal which cost the cable network $1,2 million per episode, the drama will air on "Lifetime" once per week starting with season 1 in January 2007. The network will then air the series five times per week beginning in 2009. Both ABC and Lifetime are owned by Disney.

"Grey's Anatomy" is thus far this season the #1 scripted drama in America.
