"Others" Housekeeper Linked To Desmond

The spooky housekeeper from Nicole Kidman's 2001 creepfest "The Others", Dublin-raised actress Fionnula Flanagan, will make an appearance on TV's most mysterious hour, ABC's "Lost" in an upcoming Desmond-centric February episode.

Fionnula (pictured above with 'Desperate Housewives' star Felicity Huffman) is an award-winning actress best known for her 1985 movie James Joyce's Women. She also appeared on a 1987 episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" as an android playing viola.


Last week on Tuesday, the actress shot her scenes for a London-based Desmond flashback in Hawaii. This will be the second episode after the show returns from its three-month long hiatus in early February 2007.

In the flashback, she is seen giving Desmond a ring, taking money and walking off following a nearby construction accident.

The producers have said the episode will explain why Others abduct children and what happened to flight attendant Cindy.
