NEW SMALLVILLE DVD IN HIGH DEFINITION
Warner Home Video is presenting the fifth season of "Smallville" on DVD next month (November 28) and it will be a very special event. The set is the very first High Definition DVD ever released and it is a part of a massive "Superman on DVD" campaign.
In addition to being HD, the five-disc set will contain a number of special features, such as unaired scenes, commentaries and a "Behind the Scenes" documentary. It will be priced at $79.98, about $20 more than the average TV on DVD set.
Warner will also release this year's summer blockbuster "Superman Returns" starring Brandon Routh as well as classics "Superman I" and "Superman II - The Richard Donner Cut". The Donner version of the latter movie is highly anticipated by the fans as the director was forced off the project 30 years ago and his project was entirely changed by the movie studio and a new director, Richard Lester who completed the 1980 motion picture.
The entire 14-disc collection will also be released as "The Ultimate Collector's Edition" on the same date.
