"Dirty Sexy Money" Spoilers: 3 Unaired Episodes
"Brothers & Sisters" exec Greg Berlanti explains in USA Today his California-set drama will have an abbreviated wrap-up this spring. "Dirty Sexy Money" however won't be back till fall when the 3 already filmed episodes kick off a new season of at least 13 installments. Here's now a quick look at the storylines in episodes #11-13.
Please note the episodes in question will undergo some tweaking, and the storylines described below may change by the time the show returns to ABC. Berlanti says: "We're going to have to create the beginning of a new season in unexpected places. It's challenging creatively, but it could also end up being inspiring."
PREVIOUSLY ON "DIRTY SEXY MONEY":
The last time we saw the Darlings, Karen was having an affair with her father's arch enemy Simon Elder. However, we learned by the end of the Christmas episode, this was a devious scheme concocted by Tripp, who vowed to destroy Elder. But was Karen, as a result, really falling for the techno-philanthropist billionaire?
Meanwhile, Lisa lost her job at the gallery and Nick suggested they have another child. Fearing she was losing her husband to the Darlings, Lisa was enthusiastic about the idea.
Nick's brother Brian lost his son and decided to leave church. Following careful deliberation, he accepted Tripp's proposal to join the family business, despite being a George. Fans of Glenn Fitzgerald swooned at the sight of Brian in a business suit.
Juliet, who had just returned from her sister's honeymoon in the Seychelles, introduced her family to Kai, a young man she fell in love with while being on those "distant green islands."
Patrick's transgender lover Carmelita was abducted, following what appeared to be reconciliation with his gold-digging and power-hungry wife Ellen. The unprincipled politician used his influence to go after his father's business associates, the Fantini brothers. Simon Elder was however the original author of that idea.
NEXT ON "DIRTY SEXY MONEY":
Kai is having a hard time adjusting to Juliet's lifestyle, especially being constantly surrounded by the paparazzi. He however quickly adjusts, especially after he is asked to replace a male model in Natalie Kimpton's new music video.
The Governor, who appears to be a good friend of Simon Eldder, declines a request from Tripp Darling to interfere in the Fantini case and help him avoid the subpoena to testify, issued by his son Patrick, the Attourney General. Patrick may soon have a reason to withdraw his subpoena, though.
Meanwhile, Nick and Brian work together to help Tripp. The patriarch asks Nick to make the subpoena go away expressing concern that Simon Elder's personal vendetta may undermine Nick's hard work on the hospital project.
Nick is also asked to hire a private investigator in an attempt to track down Carmelita. He pretends Carmelita is his mistress. The search yields results as Patrick prepares for the ultimate showdown with Ellen. But it may be too late to salvage the greatest love of his life.
Jeremy helps Lisa begin her own business, an art dealership, in a premium location. She originally encounters problems due to her inexperience and lack of first-class clientèle. But is it a good idea to run a business with Jeremy?
Lolita Davidovich joins "Dirty Sexy Money" as Flavia Carozzi as a potential romantic interest for Tripp.
Also, Samaire Armstrong's character Juliet may be leaving the series. Or is she?
"Dirty Sexy Money" returns to ABC in September 2008.
