Samaire Armstrong Leaving "Dirty Sexy Money"?
First she missed an episode of "Dirty Sexy Money" (where she plays a ditzy Hiltonesque virgin Juliet Darling), then the sides for episode #113 (not yet filmed) revealed an airport goodbye scene between her character and twin brother Jeremy (Seth Gabel) and now the actress is the only member of the cast not to take part in Monday's "Dirty Sexy Money" SAG panel discussion.
Samaire Armstrong, who once charmed audiences with her portrayal of Anna Stern in the hit FOX series "The O.C." seemed to have hit jackpot earlier this year when she was cast as a series regular on the glitzy ABC sudser "Dirty Sexy Money" as one of the members of the show's core Darling family.
But the actress suddenly checked herself into rehab in mid October missing an entire episode of the series ("The Country House," aired last week). Tabloids speculated about the nature of her treatment and TV Guide was among the first to dismiss rumors about drug use and report about the actress' "serious cutting and eating disorder."
As promised, the actress was back on the set the following week (she appears in tonight's episode "The Watch") starting a romantic storyline - her character Juliet meets a handsome young man named Kai while on sister Karen's honeymoon trip in the Seychelles and persuades him to follow her back to New York (he first appears in the Christmas episode).
In episode #113 titled "The Revolution," an emotional Juliet calls her brother Jeremy from the airport and tells him that "the world is coming apart at the seams" and she and Kai are flying to the Seychelles to try to stop it. She also says they are "restoring justice" and "it's a revolution." Choked up, Juliet then tells Jeremy she loves him and bids him farewell.
The cast of "Dirty Sexy Money" appeared at a panel discussion organized by SAG on Monday night talking about their work on the show which has just been picked up for a full season of 22 episodes. The only member of the regular cast missing was Samaire Armstrong.
Ia this the end of the road for the giddy Juliet?
