TV Ratings: Tuesday (1/29/08)
"American Idol" again loses eyeballs, as over a million viewers from last Tuesday disappear. The show however catapulted an all-new "House" into the Nielsen stratosphere, making the Hugh Laurie series the #1 drama on television.
So far this season, "House" has averaged 16.76 million viewers. The inflated post-Idol ratings, however, are expected to elevate the show back into the neighborhood of 20 million, which is exactly how much the show averaged last season.
"American Idol" itself is down 16% from a comparable night one year ago.
