"LOST": Season 4 Begins Next Thursday!
We're now less than a week away from the highly-anticipated 4th season premiere of ABC's "LOST" which will now air on Thursday nights 9:00-10:00p.m. Before the incomplete 4th season of 8 episodes begins, the network will repeat the third season finale on Wednesday night with special enhancements.
In a press release yesterday, ABC announced that the rerun of the 2-hour episode "Through the Looking Glass" (airs Wednesday, January 30, 9:00-11:00p.m.) will be enhanced with special facts and back story on the lower third of the screen "letting viewers in" on clues in the show.
Is this only a ratings gimmick or a must-see collection of facts? Either way, given the show's complexity, the fans of the show who have not bought the season 3 DVD might want to brush up their knowledge of the show's multiple story arcs before they dive into the next season on Thursday night.
According to the same press release, the show will be focusing this year on these 3 questions:
1. Jack has radioed a freighter stationed somewhere off the island. But when it's disclosed that Charlie's dying warning was that these people may not be who they say they are, the castaways are divided as to what to do. Jack is convinced that the freighter people are there to rescue them, while Locke is not. A split occurs among the survivors. Who is on the freighter?
2. What was the significance of the flash-forward showing Jack and Kate off the island at some point in the future?
3. What will the consequences be when the characters once again encounter Michael, who seemingly escaped the island after murdering two of the survivors?
All these (any many more) questions may (or may not) be answered, when ABC kicks off season 4 of "LOST" next Thursday.
For those who don't have much time to go over the show's past storylines, here's that hilarious 8-minute and 15-second recap of everything you need to know about the show.

I am so stoked for next Thursday, Justin! Thanks for the info about the "enhancements", I did not know that! Should be fun for fans. I am quite worried about the ratings though. With most shows around Lost being in reruns, combined with the show being off for 7 months, I feel that Lost will be lucky to get 12 million viewers, I hope I'm wrong and it gets more. I heard a rumour that they might drop the second half of this season because of the strike and we get 16 and 16, which would bum me out, because we would lose 8 episodes. The previews look so amazing with the flashforwards!
