TV Ratings: Monday (12/10) & Tuesday (12/11)
Where have all the people who used to watch "Samantha Who" gone? The Christina Applegate comedy dipped to a new series low on Monday, while CBS' two-hour episode of "Cane" went up week-to-week, but failed to ignite any 18-49 fire.
As reported earlier, "Journeyman's" unimpressive performance doomed the show when NBC let the option to renew it expire on Tuesday. Is FOX's "K-Ville" then next in the firing line?
Meanwhile, ABC's "According to Jim" reemerged with a couple of low-rated repeats on Tuesday night, the weakest link in Disney net's otherwise very successful line-up.
While NBC is milking "Deal Or No Deal" for all its worth, CBS may have reached the end of the road with its Latin soap opera "Cane." The show again failed to score a 2.0 ratings among adults 18-49. Will next week's season finale be the show's swan song?

I know Cane is not a huge ratings grabber but it's not horrible either. I think people need to catch on to the show and it would eventually catch on. Unfortunately the strike may keep it from doing this. I personally enjoy the show (yes i'm in the 18-49 demo) Samantha Who could work. It's better than the other ABC comedies and has a sort of sex and the city feel to it. I'm sure ABC will stick with it another season.
"Samantha Who?"'s ratings suffered because its lead-in was an hour of Charlie Brown. While "Samantha Who" is a great show with a POTENTIALLY loyal following, it is not yet "must see" T.V. which is understandable because it is still a freshmen show. It still needs time to build a devoted following. And even a show with a solid following would have ratings problems with an hour-long Charlie Brown lead-in. ABC needs to do better by this show.
