"Journeyman" Cancelled
NBC is avoiding the C-word, but as Hollywood trade press reports, the Peacock network had an option to pick up its freshman series "Journeyman" (about a time traveler played by Kevin McKidd) for a full season of 22 episodes till Tuesday, but they let it lapse - effectively killing the show.
NBC will air the last 2 episodes of "Journeyman" next week - the first airs in the show's regular timeslot on Monday night, and the series finale then airs on Wednesday night at 10:00pm, instead of "Life."
The show has averaged 7.36 million viewers over the past couple of months, but the show's most recent episode pulled in only 5.56 million viewers, losing more than half of the 12+ million viewers who watched its lead-in "Deal Or No Deal."
As far as the other NBC rookie series are concerned - both "Chuck" and "Life" have been renewed for a full season, but the jury is still out on "Bionic Woman" which recently concluded its 8-episode run with a series low of 6 million viewers. The show premiered in September to over 14 million viewers and may be this season's biggest loser.

For me, the news that the show was getting cancelled made it hard for me to get invested. I was almost sure it would be once I liked it.
That's always a double edged sword but I am happy they are keeping "Chuck". The show has been really good.
Honestly, I think it's bull that Journeyman is getting the axe. I have been watching the show from the start, only missing one episode. I think if more people would have checked it out, they would have become engrossed by the storyline and put the entire show into a more personal perspective aobut making sure we are making good decisions in our own lives. It really sucks. I know I will be picking up the set of DVD's when they become available. I guess I should stop becoming attached to some of the sci-fi themed shows that NBC puts on the air. I was first let down a couple of years ago when NBC cut "Surface" and now "Journeyman"? I guess I will have to stick to "Heroes" for now.
I haven't felt this upset and annoyed at the canellation of a show before! This was a great show right up at the top with the best of em' (like lost and 24).
The plot was amazing and I reckon with the right advertising it would of been a smash hit, espeically in the UK.
BRING IT BACK
Liked the show from its inception. Good acting, good premise. Too bad network doesn't consider it worthwhile, yet they can keep some other shows that really stink
