Ratings: Wednesday (12/12) & Thursday (12/13)
Wednesday and Thursday night ratings confirm what we've known all along - ABC's serialized shows don't repeat too well.
The network may have been better off sticking with the remaining 3 all-new episodes of "Big Shots" which they unceremoniously dumped earlier this week in favor of "Private Practice" repeats.
Perhaps ABC delayed its new 2008 schedule anxious to see first how well PP does after "Grey's"?
The show pulled in only 4.75 million viewers. The last original episode of "Big Shots" also airing after a "Grey's Anatomy" repeat scored 5.98 million viewers. The show also outperformed a repeat of PP in the 18-49 demo (2.4 vs. 1.7).
Elsewhere, on Wednesday night, the final all-new episode of "Pushing Daisies" scored a season low of 6.85 million viewers.
"Pushing Daisies" premiered on October 3 pulling in 12.83 million viewers. Although many people may have thought Wednesday night's episode was a repeat, this amazing show has clearly lost some momentum. How sad is that?
