"Dirty Sexy Money" Episodes #111-113 "Shitty"?
You know I would never use that language on my blog, and especially when it comes to my #1 show "Dirty Sexy Money," but according to a student who attended a recent USC sitdown with the cast and creator of "Dirty Sexy Money" the scripts for the upcoming 3 episodes of the series were, according to Craig Wright himself "rough and, frankly, shitty."
The creator revealed the cast and crew were in the middle of filming episode #110 "The Nutcracker" when the writers' strike began. Apparently, filming of the episode was very problematic and required extensive last minute rewriting. That means the writers had little time to polish up the remaining 3 episodes, for which reason they opted to film episode #113 before episode #112.
As rumored earlier, a non-writing member of the production team then put finishing touches on the episode. According to a recent Blair Underwood interview, production is about to end on December 15, and Craig Wright revealed they tie a lot of loose ends in episode #113 because they hadn't known if they were getting picked up at the time of writing.
Meanwhile, I can confirm "The Nutcracker" episode which aired last week really did end up very much different from the script which was still floating around as of late October, so if the remaining 3 episodes needed similar rewrites they may have been done at the very last moment under time pressure.
Here are some of the original plotlines in the "Nutcracker" episode that had been changed:
It was supposed to take Letitia almost the entire episode to persuade a reluctant Tripp to offer Brian a job with Darling Enterprises. There was no conversation about God and religion.
The police was supposed to search the Darling townhouse The Imperial following an anonymous phone call, searching for clues about the plane mechanic's murder.
There was supposed to be a lot of snow in the streets, including the exterior shots of Lisa and Jeremy in front of the gallery.
Juliet was supposed to offer Kai her virginity during a romantic walk in the snowy streets of Soho (instead of the cheaper shot in the Darling lobby).
Kai was supposed to interact more with the family, including a conversation in French with Tripp. Brian was supposed to mistrust Kai.
