New ABC Schedule: Sundays (Updated)
There are 3 all-new episodes of "Brothers & Sisters" and 1 new episode of "Desperate Housewives" left, although ABC was originally planning to keep the latter until the arrival of post-strike episodes. Oprah's "Big Give" launches March 2.
ABC will run the 3 new episodes of "Brothers & Sisters" from January 6. "Desperate Housewives" will be back for one night only and then go into repeats from January 13.
Both shows will then be preempted on February 24 for the Academy Awards 2008 live telecast. A week later, on March 2, Oprah Winfrey's new reality shows "Big Give" in which millions of dollars are given away, takes over the Sunday at 9 timeslot. The show will have 8 episodes.
"Desperate Housewives" will at that point move to 10:00pm, while "Brothers & Sisters" will be off the schedule. B&S doesn't repeat as well as DH, and the 10:00pm timeslot is crucial for local affiliates.

Hey Justin... great site and love the updates... I just happen to notice something very interesting though... something that seems to have just been updated on The Futon Critic's website, which I check often for schedules... they seem to have just revealed the title of the next DH episode as "Welcome to Kanagawa" and give it the airdate of JANUARY 6th [then repeats thru the rest of January and February, as you reported.] At first I thought this might be an error, as the title seems "odd" for a DH episode, but I did google it, and it IS a songtitle from a Sondheim musical, so is there anyway you can confirm if ABC is indeed going to show us the next [and final-for-now] epsiode of DH on January 6th???

Thanks, jasonandrew77. I updated the article as I have now read the official press releases from ABC for new episodes of "Ugly Betty" (January 3) and "Brothers & Sisters" (January 6). We don't have a press release for the January 6 episode of DH, but I would assume it will be out on Monday. But it is more than safe to assume we will indeed get episode 410.
