ABC Repeats "Dirty Sexy Money" Pilot
I usually don't run posts on reruns, but given how crazy I am about ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money," just a reminder for those who wanted to see how it all began - the network is repeating the series premiere tonight at 10:00pm.
The show will be pre-empted next Wednesday, and then on December 26 (unless ABC changes their mind) we should be seeing the rerun of the 2nd episode "The Lions."
Three more episodes of "Dirty Sexy Money" are expected to air in early 2008 (in addition to the 10 that have already aired).
The show has already been renewed for a full season of 22 episodes, but we will not see the back 9 unless the strike is resolved quickly.
Some observers believe, those new shows which were picked up for a full season, may be returning in the fall 2008 if the production studios don't get to put together any more episodes prior to the end of the season.
The strike could completely kill the pilot season, in which case the networks would not have any new shows to launch in the fall of 2008.
It is believed the networks may in that case delay the launch of new shows till early 2009, and give the new shows of 2007 a chance to reconnect with their audiences.
"Dirty Sexy Money" has not been a breakthrough hit for ABC, but it consistently wins the adults 18-34 and women 18-34 demos, and it is very popular with affluent viewers.
Finally, those of you who are fans of the show and are wondering what happened to "Dirty Sexy Blog," I will be posting a bunch of updates on Thursday and Friday and try to keep the blog fresh as long as the show remains on air.
Here is now one of my favorite scenes from the pilot, in which Jeremy (Seth Gabel) gives his parents (Donald Sutherlnad and Jill Clayburgh) a very special anniversary gift in the true style of the Darlings.
