TV Ratings: ABC's Winning Combo Up (10/14/07)
The winning combo of ABC's hit dramas "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers & Sisters" went up in the ratings last night, while the former came out of the Nielsen battle as the most watched telecast in America last night scoring 18.6 million viewers.
Since "Desperate Housewives" appears to be one of the most watched programs on DVR, I guess it is safe to assume it's total audience may very well have been over 20 million viewers.
Over on CBS, "60 Minutes" got a boost from football overrun and scored more than 17 million viewers (there were still over 28 million people watching the game when CBS' entered primetime).
The last and definitely the least, the struggling CW pulled in its historically lowest Sunday night audience as the new drama "Life is Wild" barely attracted over 1 million viewers.
The netlet's highest rates program was a repeat of "America's Next Top Model."

I'm glad that Housewives is up on some of the numbers from last season. I hope that some point during the forth season it will crack 20 million once again.
Wow, CW defines abysmal.
Hmmmm, DH was very funny last night. I love watching DH on a Sunday night.
CW has almost the same ratings even after the WB + UPN merge. Their numbers haven't increased even though both have expanded their markets to about 90-95% of the affiliates.
Anyway, I'm happy for both DH and B&S gaining momentum in ratings! :)
